One of the gifts of being involved in such a young and growing industry is the opportunity for Solar Advocacy. The mission of creating a more sustainable society involves educating our communities about renewable energy as well as working with government officials to form progressive policies.
Over the years The Solar Specialists has worked with a variety of groups and organizations:
-Worked with Renewable Energy Resource Center on creation of the State incentive program.
-Doug has testified before the Vermont House Committee on solar issues.
-Our employees are members of community energy groups and VECAN.
-The Solar Specialists participates in energy workshops and has sponsored community advocacy seminars.
-Continued to work with Renewable Energy Vermont to encourage sustainable energy policy and government investment in renewable energy programs.
-Participation in Events like SolarFest and Energy Fairs.
