This is one of one of three panels in a 3.6 KW dual axis tracker solar system. As you can see from the photo, when placing panels close to a house or near a beautiful landscape, (in this case next to a pond and a garden,) you might opt for a nu
mber of smaller ground mounted solar panels than one very large panel. These panels are equipped with trackers which allow them to follow the path of the sun as it moves across the sky. While trackers allow for extra solar energy production, but they’re not always the best solution for every site. We’re glad to report that the system performance has been great and is meeting production expectations. It is connected to the utility grid at the homeowner’s garage. Notably, this was also the first residential system to be commissioned into Green Mountain Power’s solar production program.
