This grid-tied installation in Rochester, Vermont is set on an adjustable wooden ground mount. Our solar installer created the system to run in a high voltage series back to a step down transformer in charge controller. The day after we converted his system from off-grid to battery back-up, our client’s entire neighborhood lost power. The conversion to a battery back-up was so seamless, that the client wasn’t even aware that his neighborhood was experiencing a blackout- his system was doing exactly what it was designed for- powering his home with clean, reliable solar energy.
